Auraiya car crash kills 3, including father, son, and grandson; 4 others killed in UP

A road accident occurred early on Friday morning in Auraiya district, Uttar Pradesh, when a car lost control and crashed into a tree. The vehicle, which was traveling from Rasoolabad in Kanpur Dehat to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, for a family wedding, then overturned and fell into a ditch. The accident claimed the lives of three family members and left four others seriously injured.

The deceased were identified as 65-year-old Krishna Bihari, his 42-year-old son Neeraj Chaturvedi, and Neeraj’s 12-year-old son Rishabh. All three were declared dead at the scene. The four injured passengers included Krishna Bihari’s wife, Madhu (60), Neeraj’s wife, Archana, their 8-year-old son Rishi, and a relative, Yogesh Kumar. According to authorities, they were on their way to attend a wedding ceremony in Gwalior when the accident took place.

The crash occurred on the stretch between Rasoolabad and Kanchousi, near the Ganga Baba Temple and a river bridge. The car was reported to have lost control, veering off the road and crashing into a Sheesam tree. After the collision, the car fell into a roadside ditch and overturned. The impact of the crash led to the deaths of Krishna Bihari, Neeraj, and Rishabh on the spot. The injured victims were rushed to a nearby Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment.

The car involved in the accident had been purchased just two days before the incident. Local authorities, including Circle Officer (CO) Mahendra Pratap Singh, arrived at the scene along with police teams to manage the situation. After conducting an investigation, the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, and the injured were admitted to the CHC. “The families of the deceased and the injured have been informed,” said CO Mahendra Pratap Singh. The police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
